I was 15 minutes in with the graphics being on there highest settings when it just turned off. I went to try to turn it back on but it wouldn't and had a burnt smell. I know my computer should be able to play it and it ran crysis 1 and the crysis 2 beta fine. Im still in shock that my computer is broke and unlike a software problem it looks like this is permanent. I just want to know what fried, why and if I can replace it.
Oh and not even the fans will turn on or anything.
Fixed it by putting in an old psu I found.
whats with all the box rating I just want computer help?
Most likely the graphics card, and that is replaceable. You are a silly piggy

But not even the fans will turn on. If it was just the videocard the computer would atleast start in some form also if the card couldn't do it then I would at least expect some frame rate issues when Iplayed the game.
burnt smell is usually a sign it's the PSU
That's what im hopping for but the motherboard has a small green light on meaning that its still getting some amount of power.
Have you tried removing the card?
No while its a possibility shouldnt the computer atleast started in some form or another even if there was no video signal? But if you think I should.

PSU outputs different voltages so it could just be your +12V line that burned due to Crysis 2 stressing your computer making it draw more power trough your PSU and all high power draw components use +12V line of PSU.
My Enermax Modu82+ 525W got struck by lighting and it still gave out +5V so that leds lighted up on Motherboard.
remove the GPU and try again.
If that doesnt work get the PSU out and smell it or open it to see if its the culprit.
Buy a new PSU that's busted no doubt at all.
So I found an old computer that looks to be 15 years old that I bought a while ago from a guy that used it for porn editing and put in its psu. The computer work and it has 115v. Should I try playing games with it?
Not if it has 115v everything will explode. If you mean watts then no the computer will just turn off.
I think that your graphics card just gave out, just put the psu in your regular computer and take the graphics card out. If it turns on then it means it is the graphics card, if it doesn't then it could be your psu.
I'd definitely try with another PSU.
I guess OP's computer couldn't run Crysis.

More like he had a shittily branded PSU/a PSU way too weak for his system.

Nope after putting in the new psu the first thing I did was turn it on and start playing crysis 2 (Yea I know its a pretty dumb thing to do) but it played it just fine.
