So I got this monitor for Christmas, along with an HDMI cable. I plug the HDMI cable straight from my Xbox 360, into the back of my monitor, and test things out. No picture, great... I then text the HDMI setup on our family HDTV, works fine. I've tried two different HDMI cables, the same thing happens. I was sure to check the Video source on the monitor. I've tried everything I could think of, if anyone has any ideas, please let me know, thanks.
I assume by monitor you mean TV, right?
are you changing the monitors input source to HDMI?

Please, if you're not going to be helpful, don't comment at all.

Yes, after I do this, the screen stays black for about 3 seconds, then switches back to my VGA input.
Got any other monitors to plug the HDMI and Xbox too?
Might be dodgy connection on the HDMI on the xbox, I had this a while ago, try pulling the cable up when it is plugged in to make the HDMI connection press harder against the xbox motherboard. If this is so it is probably a loosened solder, you could be a man and disassemble your console and solder it yourself or just send it back to microsoft.

I don't think that this is the problem because it works fine on the Television. Could it be the fact that I have my PC plugged in the monitor?
What monitor do you have?

Your PC is plugged in already?
How is it plugged in, HDMI or DVI?
Should not cause a problem to be honest, you just use your remotes cycle channel button to go through the multiple inputs, eg, HDMI, DVI, SCART, etc.

It's plugged in through DVI to VGA.
