I'm looking for an application that could show me a pie chart of what is the relative size of the folders on my HDD. Is there such a thing?
Yes.

It costs money, but there's a free trial.
Go to My Computer, Right click on your harddrive, then click properties...

You don't get the relative size of folders...

Sorry, I must have read it wrong...
It's not exactly what you're looking for but its pretty close, check out WinDirStat. It graphically shows all the content on your disk and how much space its taking. http://windirstat.info/
WinDirStat or Sequoia View.
Gnome on linux also comes with a nice little disk analysis tool that does exactly what you are after.
A pie chart is a pretty stupid way of showing the distribution of space. Download spacemonger.
Spacemonger did what I needed to be done. Who knew I still had all the trial L4D content, and EVE online still installed?
i second sequoia view.
I third sequoia view.
Why not get Glary tools use the file deleter tool, it shows which folder and file is hogging the most space and it would also show a nice before and after, I recommend a clean up before and after to show rael results.

You can use Treesize to get a look at the size of your files http://www.jam-software.com/freeware/index.shtml
I think Sequoia view is what I used to use so I fourth that.
Step Tree
Its completely free and awesome, Hard part is finding it.
