this is anything but hands-free tbh [editline]17th February 2016[/editline] (but also very cool, most likely gonna buy it when available)
It's too bad the leap motion kinda sucks ass touchless and motion control at the moment is a joke without regulations. Even with the vive and touch handsets it's a joke, but those are the best we'll have bar none once they are out and kinda, light the way for better third party solutions
Why is Leap Motion suddenly back on the table? It didn't work great when it first came out, and I don't think much has changed in three years.

It's moderately accurate, and the v2 made it 'nearly acceptable'. A touchless controller with really shitty fov isn't going to make it far in this market. What we need is a leap motion style controller, with physical sensors also mixed in to help the camera side of things, but people are already making that so. Camera based motion controllers are not going to succeed unless they really really do something great. The leap motions a demonstration at best tbh
Try out the Orion tracking since you have the leap, it's apparently a massive upgrade
Try out the Orion tracking since you have the leap, it's apparently a massive upgrade
I'll have to once I get my rift I'm stoked to try it again but imho a leap motion without VR feels lame as fuck
oh cool, now all I need are virtual pressure points so me and my waifu truely can feel each other
VR controls NEED some kind of feedback, since you are actually touching and moving stuff in the VR world. I feel like for VR especially an actual physical controller that you hold should be more immersive than just waving hands.
