Why not? I haven't seen anything so far that suggests it won't be good. What they've shown looks great already.

Yep! It was called Bridge Commander. It's been years actually.

Bridge Commander was fucking great. I spent so many hours with the mods just blasting the hell out of the Borg with a fleet of Federation ships behind me. Good times.
This game looks incredible. It has a BSG feel to it.

The mods of Bridge Commander was easily the best part of it, I remember the ridiculous StarWars mods with the gigantic star destroyers :v:

I hope you can actually customize the look, colours and interior of ships. It would be great if you could make ships feel like they actually belong to you and have your command ship feel important by decorating it inside.
