Not sure if this is the right place, but what do you use to clean your computer fans?

I use a tissue and hand-wipe it. But canned air should work just fine.

for fans, I use a paper towel. everything else gets canned air

a small air compressor works much better than canned air. The canned air just doesn't have enough pressure to get all the dust. I've got filters on my intakes though so dust isn't much of an issue, but I still need to hose it out with my compressor every now and then.
