Is there a way to see how many because i think my neighbour has hacked (got acces to) on my wireless connection on my router. Is there a way so i can see how many that is on the wireless
log onto the router. should have a log of people that have had access to the network during the session
I just need to find all the codes and shit again...Thanks for the help
If you have linux, a good nmap scan will do the trick.
Also, try not to fap and type the title at the same time in the future.
open a command prompt and type "net view" without the quotations.
Setting a wep key will keep the neighbours away from your network.

WEP is cracked in seconds.
WPA or WPA2 is the way to go.

Most people won't bother to crack ANYTHING.

haha. you can't speak for the majority of people. me + a copy of backtrack got into 3 neighbors wifi. they're lucky i was only testing everyone's internet speed.

Better safe than sorry when it comes to your Internet connection.
Who knows what kinky and illegal shit your perverted neighbor is into, and how desperate he is on hiding it?

The majority of people are going to be cheap fucks who just want to steal internet, not people who are actually 'tech-savvy'

Wrong, a majority of people are fine with WEP, even though it's a piece of crap.
So if you put a lovely turkey dinner on top of a car, it's practically open for anyone to take.
Now put that lovely turkey dinner inside the car with the door unlocked, the amount of people going toward it decrease by 99%

That's an interesting statistic to fabricate. Adding numbers to anything tends to make it less believable, I find.

Wow, that was wonderful.

Well that's sort of interesting. He does have a point. My dad never locks his car doors, yet he's never had anything stolen from it. Then again, he drives a '85 Buick Century, so its not like its a real attention getter.
I still use WPA, because I really don't have a reason not to. I might want to change it to WPA-2 eventually.
I use WEP, easy to remember the key and it's not like people are going to take the time to crack it. Most people just want free internet easily
I use WEP for my Wii and DSi shit, I have Comodo on all my computers so I'm not too worried...but I might need to make the code a little more secure.

:iiaca:
Also, it's very true. How many of your average-joe neighbours are even going to think of cracking it?
Meh, maybe it's different where you guys live, I definitely know here people (not tech-savvy ones) look for either open or WEP wifi points for free internet.

ok, if there isnt any encryption than setting one up should fix people from using his wireless, your average joe doesnt know how to break WEP ecrytions and for the ones who do will most likely have their own internet, because they want good internet and wont have to wait for their neighbor to fix it when its messed up
