(Gift Giving Chat) We are now a gifting/chat thread! Make friends, give gifts, and be merry![/b][/u] [B]Our Rules[/B] 1. Don’t be mean. If you really have a problem with someone, then take it to PM please. 2. Want to make the new thread? Go for it, just make sure with Pascall or Jobby that it’s a-ok. We don’t want multiples of threads goin’ around. 3. Ask away! – Ask as many times for something as you want, just don’t make it every other post. Usually people will see your post and will gift you if they can. Reposting twice a page is usually enough, but more is alright if the thread is moving quickly. 4. Don’t have fake raffles or fake gifts. Really? That’s just mean. Usually it just takes up pages too and even after it’s revealed to be fake, people are still wanting to participate. So just don’t do it. 5. Don’t change the winner of a raffle unless there’s a good reason. A good reason is usually if they’re on the NL. If you have another reason, ask Jobby or Pascall to see if it’s okay that you change the winner. Don’t change it just because you want your friend to win. 6. No trading. There’s a marketplace for that. 7. Don’t act entitled. If you gifted, don’t expect something back. You gift out of the kindness of your own heart, not because you want something in return. Also, don't bitch if there is no gifting going on. If you don't have money to gift, you can't expect everyone else to have the money to gift you. Contribute if you really are angry with it. A: Leechers are those who NEVER EVER contribute in any way and all they do is beg for games in every post in the threads. They don't even bother to talk to people, just beg. These people shouldn't receive gifts, nor should they be able to participate in raffles, so look out for them. Q: What is a "beggar"? A: While the term "beggar" is really loose in this new V1, a beggar is basically the same thing as a leecher, only they simply spam their request over and over and over acting like nobody has seen them. If you see one of these people, just tell them to slow down on their posting. If they keep doing it, then just ignore them. Q: What can I do to contribute? A: Anything! Chat with others, be friendly, gift, draw people things, help people out with issues they may have with games or with Steam. Anything you can offer the thread is very welcome. :] Q: What's with all the different GGT threads? A: While I'm hoping GGT will slowly die off and/or merge with the new GGC, there was a lot of drama recently with people arguing over the ownership of the thread. In the new GGC, everyone is an equal owner and everyone who is active is free to make the thread when the time comes AS LONG as they make sure with myself (Pascall) that it's alright, that way we don't have more multiples. I'll usually choose the next thread maker towards the end of the thread. Just make sure you're an active poster and you'll have a chance to make a version of GGC. Q: How do we hold raffles? A: Raffles can be done in various ways, depending on what you feel like doing! Most of the time, people ask the participants to pick a number closest to one of the raffle holder's choosing and whoever is closest wins. Sometimes people just put participants' names into randomizer.org to choose the winner. But you can get as creative with raffles as you want as long as you don't make it so difficult that no one can participate! Well, you CAN, but don't expect a lot of participants. Q: What should be included in a banner? A: Banners are best when they include your Steam name and what games you are requesting. (Pictures and art make them look cool!) Just take a look at some of the already existing banners and you'll get an idea of what you should include.
