• Circumcize or Not?

Just had a son he is 28 days old. I do not want him circumcised but mama does. Agree to circumcise Disagree to NOT circumcise Feel free to include reasoning, stories any input. It gets chopped in 16 hours. Questions also welcome. I really appreciate the input I hope she will take the time to read it. Tried to make a Kickstarter to save him haha but there is not enough time. UPDATE: Appointment has been CANCELLED!
don't cut his pp; he can always get rid of it later, but he can never grow it back.
Can he pee without any problems?
I had a skin bridge until I was 13 and shit was annoying. Not a huge deal but since there's no valid reason to actually get a circumcision not having your son get his shit resnipped when he's 13 and easily embarrassed could be a pretty valid reason not to
Can he pee without any problems?
He urinates just fine.
If there are any medical reasons to do it, then do it; otherwise, don't. And no, stuff like "it'll be easier to clean" or "it reduces the chances of penis cancer by 2%" don't count.
Ask your wife how she'd like it if her cunt lips were lopped off before she even knew what life was. I'm sure that would work. Let him decide for himself, it's an opportunity most all of us cut-folk wish we have had.
don't cut his pp; he can always get rid of it later, but he can never grow it back.
Pretty much this, no reason to cut it. It doesn't need any extra care until the foreskin naturally retracts around the age 8 or so, and the only extra care it needs is some scrubbing with mild soap.
NO
He urinates just fine.
If he can urinate just fine then I see no reason to circumcise him.
I'll never understand the US's obsession with circumcision
Don't go lobbing off bits of him without his consent for a non-medical reason. It's rude.
please do not get him circumcised. i was and i very much wish that my parents did not make that decision for me
I'll never understand the US's obsession with circumcision
I don't think it's just the US. Also, don't let him get cut, I wish I had the choice.
Jesus Christ no oh my god
I'll never understand the US's obsession with circumcision
It's a religious thing. Just as well, as belief in religion is declining, so is the percentage of how many infants get circumcised. I was born into a Christian family and I was circumcised.
I don't think it's just the US.
Well it ain't common here, that's for sure.
Let him decide when he is older, about 16 or so. [editline]21st July 2014[/editline]
don't cut his pp; he can always get rid of it later, but he can never grow it back.
incorrect http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Foreskin_restoration of course walking around with stuff around your dick shouldn't be required, it should be the other way around..
It's a religious thing. Just as well, as belief in religion is declining, so is the percentage of how many infants get circumcised. I was born into an atheist family and still circumcised
Mama don't know shit. Ask for your sons consent. No need to do it now if he can CHOOSE to do it later, right? Foreskin is there for a reason. Understand that it is HIS body and he must live with it for the rest of his life. Circumcision is irreversible, you would be robbing his chance to ever have a say in this. Keep in mind that you'd be hurting your child who has done nothing to you.
Correlation is not causation, Christianity doesn't really push for circumcision, it's pretty much all tradition and misinformation. I was born into an atheist family and still circumcised
Yeah, it's tradition. Tradition that has its roots in religion. Also, fallacy fallacy.
Nope. Our society's modern enough to render it fairly absolete, in my opinion.
Yeah, it's tradition. Tradition that has its roots in religion. Also, fallacy fallacy.
Actually it's a relatively recent tradition that was supposed to prevent masturbation which was thought to be unhealthy. More junk science than religion. The bible itself says circumcision is not necessary And the fallacy fallacy is a bullshit thing people say to defend bad logic but that doesn't matter because this isn't debate club who cares about fallacies, I wasn't as appealing to fallacy just saying it was bad logic
Don't mutilate your kid's wang, bro.

It really doesn't affect you all that much. Benefits and consequences are pretty bare for either argument.
Actually it's a relatively recent tradition that was supposed to prevent masturbation which was thought to be unhealthy. More junk science than religion. Don't. I'm fine with being circumcised, but it honestly should be only done for medical emergencies. There's absolutely no reason for it otherwise and snipping off a bit of your babies dick shouldn't be the norm in a first world country. [sp]Or any for that matter[/sp]
Unless there is a current medical reason that REQUIRES you to circumcise, then no, absolutely do not do it, it's a ridiculously archaic practice. It's a normal piece of the body... It's like cutting off your ears at birth to try and avoid wax buildup problems - just clean your ears! I say let be his choice when he's old enough, if he even ever thinks about it in the first place.

Don't demonize or blow the process out of proportion. Yes, there really isn't an important medical reason to circumcise, but, the foreskin of your dick shouldn't be compared to ears, noses, eyes, etc. It's not in any way essential to living, or sex.

That shouldn't be allowed.
