No fucking shit darksiders 2 had disappointing sales, the game was barely even marketed.

THQ sucks at marketing.

It was funny how the Metro 2033 trailers online were way better than the trailers that they aired on TV, it's like they intentionally want to suck at marketing.

And I don't fucking get what the expectations were.
"Oh yeah, a game made by a nearly collapsing company only made 100 million dollars, what a failure"
I hope they manage to sort it all out, i like THQ.
And I mean, seriously. Are they that desperate for cash that they can barely fund their studios with 60 million dollars?

Well you clearly don't know how much it costs to make AAA games.

Yepp, you're clueless to the amount of money that goes into the production. You don't get far with 60 mill with the kind of games they make.
I'm aware how much it costs. They're still making a decent amount of money and have less mouths to feed, about 80 percent less than last year, and they're still barely functional.
Who the hell are the heads of these companies?
I hope they don't cut Dark Millennium.
Watch how THQ ends up in EA's hands.

It's kinda half and half.
They're doing a massive restructuring of it, since they realized how hard it was to get into the MMO market.

Honestly, Game's aren't that expensive to make on the individual scale. Most of the budget goes towards marketing and licensing tech, since about 90 percent of the staff usually makes less than 150 thousand per year.
Let us not forget that THQ caused Homefront.

Please no... Just no... we can't have another good game company vanish into EA's hands...

If they're handled like how Square handled Eidos, I'd be fine with it.
But knowing EA, they'd be restructured into Bioware since they're trying to make that a brand.
Let us not forget that THQ caused Homefront.
Homefront was an okay game, though.. And it sold well enough that it's getting a sequel.
This is just really disappointing news, because THQ is responsible for so many great titles. Darksiders 2 is an amazing game, and it deserved to do better. It's really worrying as to what the fate of Metro: Last Light and future Warhammer titles will become.
How about we find that shallow grave you put Red Faction in, dig her up, make her pretty and non-linear, and throw her and some new destruction physics back into society?

Linearity wasn't Armageddon's problem. Being a shit game, having a shit plot that retroactively ruined the series and just being shit in general was. RF1 was linear and it was brilliant. That said, RFG really did redefine Red Faction's gameplay and ignoring RFA ever existed and making another RF game would be brilliant.
This is what you get when you don't make battlefield or cod clones.
Shame on you THQ for trying to make different games.
THQ was my favorite "large company", I honestly hope that if they do go down that they won't take the IPs, Relic, and 4A Games with it.. I want more War40k, CoH, and Metro.
Dawn of War 3?
Dawn of War 3?
Space Marine 2 would also be nice.

Even if Relic went down with THQ (which I doubt would happen) it certainly wouldn't be the end of WH40k games. GW probably wouldn't allow their IP to sit around doing nothing in the video game business.

I know, but Relic has done well with the IP I think
company of heroes 2 can't fail

Space Marine alone is way more grimdark than GW themselves have been lately :v:

It was their most pre-ordered game.
