Almost nothing on here is actually specific to PC, and seems more like general requests

2, 3, and 4 could be applied to PC, and 6 is pretty much exclusive to PC. Shooters generally burn out faster on PC than on console, so starting content and a constant stream of it afterwards is a bit more important here.
Persistent accounts and non-unilateral balancing are certainly just blanket requests though, and both of them I'd argue are unnecessary.
"and... a story"
how many times am I gonna hear this wank over d1's launch content like they didn't learn anything and shape up asap

For a non-early access game, especially a AAA game, "Fixed it after launch" does not absolve them. Especially when it took, what, a year to actually "fix" it?

As soon as people get tired of saying "I don't have time to explain why I don't have time to explain", a line that even Bungie themselves makes fun of by later adding a gun called No Time To Explain

rise of iron was pretty weak tho

the fact the fuckup happened doesn't get forgiven, but it also doesn't change what happens down the line. The fact they burned down half the game to fix it and did well moving forward from that shitshow should speak volumes more about how they're treating content

I don't understand the complaint about that line because everything she couldn't explain at the moment is explained in the next few cutscenes.

This is like if someone mugs you and then in court apologises after being found guilty so after they repay their debt to society you just become their best friend and give them the keys to your house and 100% trust them not to mug/rob you again no questions asked.
"Fixing it after launch" isn't anywhere near enough to justify me ever trusting them to provide a quality product again without a pile of evidence and not just their "oh so trustworthy" word on it being good and better this time. This is a AAA game that costed them millions, it had zero valid excuse for that quality of garbage making it to the release. Yeah they fixed it, good on them for actually doing their job and supporting their product in the end, but fool me once and all that jazz.

That's only slightly exaggerated :v:
If you want to go with the mugging metaphor, it's more like after they've repaid their debt to society you're no longer expecting them to mug you. People aren't exactly lining up to give Bungie hand-jobs for Destiny 2, but I'm sure as hell excited for the possibilites. I got into Destiny after TTK and it was just a bunch of fun, my biggest gripes being not enough story and that I have zero friends who own a PS4; both problems that are seemingly fixed in the sequel, if they keep their word. Which I don't really have to doubt all that much after all the good they did. Just keep the DLC price down.

I really don't know what else I can do to sway you peoples' opinion. It's your loss if you wanna cross your arms and sit in the corner pouting about evil big business game devs intentionally doing things wrong just to spite you while for once, a devteam pulled a major overhaul after listening to the community instead of blaming it on the consumers and cutting bait
this is now a franchise. They've had a full game+expansions lifespan to learn what the community wants, how they interact with the game, what they can do with their technology. Expansions can only do so much for a game built a certain way, but now they have the opportunity to build the right foundations for what they currently see is the best path forward to ensure the game does well and retains a decent playerbase who keep coming back for expansions and installments through the 10 years they wanted destiny to last
I like how you're making your self out to be morally superior to me because I'm apparently so hateful and untrusting of a AAA studio? All because Im not head over heals blindly leaping into the news of a sequel and instead am cautiously waiting for good reviews and such before considering a purchase because I felt definitely burned by thr last one? You know what a good consumer does? But please keep shoving me into the scary Them lump you're using to describe everyone who isn't solidly in your camp.
Bungie had a track record of amazing games on release prior to Destiny, they earned my trust as a developer but now they have to re-earn it because they flopped hard. Regardless of their recovery and doing well in supporting and fixing the game, they lost the immediate trust that gets games sold within a good window of release. If CDPR released Witcher 3 and it flopped on launch but they fixed it to the level it is now, I'd still be in the same mindset for W4. It has nothing to do with me and the imaginary AAA studio persecution problem of mine you've made up, it's all to do with how I value my money and the value of my trust.
