• Ideas for a visual communication and design project

So Facepunch, for my last year of Highschool I have to complete two folios for my VCD class. I handed in my last one a few weeks ago, and we've just started our new one. Projects can be industrial design (Product design), Architectural, or simple 2D design like posters, logos and menu's. My last one was (In typical Facepuncher fashion) designing the logo and outer signage of a video game store. I wanted to mix things up and do something 3D for my new project. The only thing with the new project is, you spend about 2/3rds of your time doing one thing, and the other 1/3rd doing another project related to the firs one. Eg: My friend is designing a new skate park/leisure centre. And his secondary design is a magazine spread advertising the new park. I want to create a 3rd floor for a family home, designing the layout of the area and everything. But I cannot for the life of me think of a secondary design. Typically they need to be related, but also different style of design, so in this case, something that is 2D that is related to the area I am designing. So if anyone has any ideas of what my secondary design could be i'd love to hear from you. Or alternatively if you think I could do a better project, what would you recommend? Keeping in mind that i'm kind of set on some type of architecture, but I'd settle for industrial design if it was really cool.
What about doing a floor plan and then creating a 3-dimensional representation of it? For the second one you can add in the furniture and everything, but I don't know if the floor plan would be too simplistic.
Nah unfortunately my teacher said we can't do the 'same' project, in two different formats. So the floor plan and the 3D representation of it would have to be the same project.
You should make part of the house a rape dungeon then for the secondary design make a wanted poster for Steve smith
