What. Really. They didn't fix the bug since Beta? What is with the half completed games these days.
Problem is if they do a rollback, there's no telling how far they have to go since the bug has been in-game since before release, and then they'll put off a huge population of the casual audience who'll come back to find their characters are gone if they were made during the rollback period.
So this bug has been in since beta, reported a lot and still is present and fucking up the entire economy? Did they think it wasn't important? Duping issues of any kind are usually huge game breakers in an MMO.
another hole in the hull of the ESOtanic I, for one, welcome all such news and eagerly await its upcoming death
Bethesda
Not Bethesda, Zenimax Online Studios.
Not Bethesda, Zenimax Online Studios.
its still a buggy as shit tes game
its still a buggy as shit tes game
Pretty much this. Morrowind on the Xbox took about 5 years to load areas, when I first bought Oblivion on the PC I didn't get very far before the game crashed. And Skyrim was promised to run a different engine and that the game wouldn't be nearly as buggy, but although it didn't crash, there were loads of glitches with the quests. Then an update was released and my game crashed every time I entered water, the only way I could get rid of the crashing was to reinstall my game and lose my save. Next time I buy a bethesda game I'm waiting a year after it comes out to buy it

I don't think the gw2 bug(s) cited were nearly as bad by comparison, as they had to be done intentionally, and weren't even found til months after release (one of which using a newly created seasonal material) and took only a short while to identify and snuff them out. If this has been known since beta I'm not sure what to tell you other than "don't let the client handle its fucking storage in place of the server"
its still a buggy as shit tes game
Well "buggy as shit" and "the elder scrolls" go hand in hand.
Well "buggy as shit" and "the elder scrolls" go hand in hand.
Just Bethesda in general, Fallout 3 and later were buggy as shit too
I had to laugh out loud yesterday when I saw this being sold for 80 Sfr (90$) in stores. For a fucking paid subscription MMO. What the fuck Zenimax. It wasn't the ~~Special edition~~ either. That huge crumpled box was standing on a shelf being sold for 140Sfr (160$). I pity the fool who decides to buy this game.

It has problems, for sure, but they haven't honestly affected me that much, the worst issue to affect me was just some bank slots gone missing. I haven't played GW2 to be fair but I've played every other large MMO release in the past few years as well as a tonne of small ones and I've enjoyed ESO the most
get out, zenimax shill
Back to /v/
Did they think the modding community would fix this?
You either have post-purchase rationalization or shit taste, because I've seen you step up to defend every shitty step of ESO's journey.
How could I have post purchase rationalization when I enjoyed it before I bought it in the beta? In any case taking a quick look at your steam page I think you have shit taste too so let's just agree to disagree.

But to come out is say "it's a greate game" and people are "missing out" is just wrong.
I played a bit of ESO and I have to say there's no way in hell I would pay $60 AND a sub to play it. It's not worth the value they put on it, and the value is shrinking rapidly Not only is it a grand undertaking to make such a game, it's the first time they're doing it. Not many firsts of anything are great. They've also developed it in such a way so that it could be played on consoles with limited buttons, which really dumbs down an MMO, whether you believe it does or not, as it dictates design choices as far back as when they were still being put to paper Would it make a good F2P game with a cash shop for boosters and cosmetics? Absolutely. Is it a game worth $60 + Monthly Subscription? No. No it isn't. The content isn't all there, the polish certainly isn't, and the gameplay is dull and finnicky
Oh you can enjoy the game all you want. But to come out is say "it's a greate game" and people are "missing out" is just wrong.
People I've argued with about the game on fp have gotten it and are liking it, so you can tell me I'm wrong all you want but I really don't care about your opinion. I've put forward my points on what I do and don't like about the game many times, so I don't think they need to be put here, but I'll leave it at this - the game is expensive but it's good and if you don't think so yourself? Fine, don't buy it, nobody is going to make you but the way you keep insulting the people who do makes you seem like a baby
You either have post-purchase rationalization or shit taste, because I've seen you step up to defend every shitty step of ESO's journey.
He comes to the defense of ESO in every thread, he's probably just an elder scrolls fanboy justifying his large amount of money spent on one month of this game

I would have gotten away with it too, if it weren't for you meddling kids! [sp]You could have just looked at my steam page champ, there's tonnes of games I've played more than TES ones. But remember, like something and defending it? Always a fanboy unless it'd the popular opinion![/sp]

Saying that the game is good or bad isn't a matter of opinion, it's looking at the game and evaluating it's characteristics. Also skimming at someone's steam profile doesn't tell you shit about the person.

You go into literally every thread and defend it to the fucking last. Lots of people hate the game, you're not going to win.

You can call me a fanboy for no good reason all you want but when people ask in the TES thread if they should get it I give them my likes and dislikes and never just tell them "yes GOTY buy now", last time I checked that's not how fanboys work.

We hate it because it's a bad game.
