This seems like a really elaborate way to say, "It's technically possible, but we can't be fucked to do it." It's not like dodging breaks the game, it's not like the game has pvp to balance *cough cough*.
this is why i look at people playing legue and kinda laugh, the way these game's control the characters is beyond dated, its just stupid and inefficient and most of all ITS FUCKING ANNOYING to be in the same room with 5 playing legue CLICKCCKKCKCKCKCKCKCKTCKCKCKKC god its horrible

That isn't even the argument being had first of all.
Your also retarded. That "outdated" control input works great on MOBAs, RTS, and generally any game that doesn't need a analogue reaction.
If your at a LAN party with 5 other guys play LoL, wear some headphones.
Console version has offline mode and controller support. Soon to have avenge kills.
Totally impossible on PC.
[sp]FUCK YOU BLIZZARD!![/sp]
Bull. Crap.
this is the same blizzard that said diablo 3 wouldn't work without the auction house/always online right?

Do you get paid to post stuff this ridiculous? As if you're someone who should be laughing at others :v:
[sp]legue[/sp]
doesn't the console version already have controller support
what's stopping them from updating to make the controller system to work on PC
that IS what devs are supposed to do right

I get the sense you may not have read the post.
Just use a controller mapper and a USB controller with your PC copy of D3. Problem solved. The only downside here is that they don't want to bother making controller support native to the game.
Don't care at all about controller support but I'd really like to see Avenger Kills make it to PC
Avenger Kills offer another opportunity for friends to connect, even if they're not playing cooperatively at the same time. With an Avenger Kill, when a player dies at the hands of a monster, there's a chance that monster will level up and then jump into a special portal. That monster will then target a player on your friends list. Later, when that friend comes online, that monster will appear during a special event; the skies will darken and the player will be warned that "Matthew's Bane" — a special title — is after them. If that monster kills that player, it will level up again, becoming the "Bane" of that player and then find a new friend to target.
If you manage to kill the monster, however, you and the friend who spawned it (or most recently helped level it up) will get a piece of loot.
Nope, i've been using a mouse and keyboard on my console, sometimes i switch to a fight stick though.

So realtalk, earlier this year I was at Dragon*Con in Atlanta, and I accidentally went to a Diablo 3 panel looking for The Walking Dead panel. Blizzard had a few reps previewing the new expansion pack and covering the new loot system and shit, and they had a big presentation on the console versions of Diablo 3 and how playing with a controller was hot shit.
During the QnA, a fan asked them if they would be bringing controller support to the PC version. Their response?
"No. Why would you want that?"
Let's be honest though.
Why would we want to play with a controller anyway?
So, Diablo 3 won't work with a controller, yet you are putting it on a console.
Fuck. Logic.

They didn't say that. Maybe you should read the article.
But... What?
The rhythm on PC is tactactactactactac - you're clicking the mouse, you're telling your character where to go," Berger explained. "On console, the rhythm is very different. It flows more, because you're constantly repositioning your character with the thumbstick; you're really never stationary on console, whereas on PC you're a lot more stationary... When you're playing on the PC, you're not really looking at your character as much, you're kind of focusing on the cursor. Whereas on console it's the exact opposite, you're drawn in
No shit? Those reasons are because of the controller/mouse & keyboard. Not because of differences in the game. They just don't want to bother with porting the support for it to the PC version.
If I let you use the controller on the PC, then I have to let you use the user interface that goes with it, and if I give you the roll and I haven't throttled the number of enemies attacking you because the mouse-and-keyboard players can handle all those enemies, but with a controller you have too many guys...
Didn't they announce within the last week that the PS4 version is going to have as many enemies as the PC version? That has fuck all to do with controls, then. They just make up excuses.
I'm not really focused on my cursor much, mainly what's going on around me. Besides, they make it out like all you can do is this rapid clicking shit to move, i dunno about any of you but i just click and hold and my character moves around smoothly.

I'm not gonna be surprised if Blizzard will ban you for it. I mean, come on, they banned those Linux players playing on Wine, because.. they're playing on Wine.

How are you expecting them to ban you for using a keyboard mapped controller exactly? To the computer it's literally like you're just pressing keyboard/mouse buttons. The wine deal if I remember right was a ban because it detected a system modification when it was really just wine not running it entirely correctly. Simulated keypresses make no modifications to the game client nor do they change how it runs
