Yeah, I want a new graphics card, so I'm trying to find one and, I'm on a webpage where they sell them on my budget. So FP which ones would you buy. (PS. It's danish money) http://www.getmore.dk/k%C3%B8b-pci-express-grafikkort-grafikkort-billig/111614_cl.html PS. Only cards from under that, ''XFX GeForce Gt 220'' nothing outside that list.
All of them are in your budget range? ATI Radeon HD 5870
All of them are in your budget range? ATI Radeon HD 5870
Oops, it has to be a Nvidia card, since I have a nvidia card at the start and I don't want to miss out on the PhysX
Oops, it has to be a Nvidia card, since I have a nvidia card at the start and I don't want to miss out on the PhysX
physx is dumb, you shouldn't be sticking with nvidia just because of physx
Oops, it has to be a Nvidia card, since I have a nvidia card at the start and I don't want to miss out on the PhysX
Well, do the Mafia 2 PhysX features work with all Nvidia cards or only with the 400-series? Because other than Mafia 2 there aren't many announced big games that will have major PhysX features (though Mirror's Edge 2 will most probably have them). Anyway if you want PhysX you might want to wait for the GTX460, an eventual GTX475 or a price drop for the GTX470. [editline]07:05PM[/editline]
physx is dumb, you shouldn't be sticking with nvidia just because of physx
Well, to be honest the PhysX features in Mafia 2 are far from dumb, in fact it's a pretty big factor considering how big the Mafia games are for some.
What card do you have at the moment? I'd wait for the GTX475 and use the one you have at the moment as a PhysX card in SLI if you can.
I'd suggest investing a bit more money if you need a card for gaming. 9500 and gt220 are low-end cards by today's standards.
get a 5870 and a pci 8400gs if you REALLY want physx
My current card are a Nvidia 9800GT.
Oops, it has to be a Nvidia card, since I have a nvidia card at the start and I don't want to miss out on the PhysX
You are very dumb (User was banned for this post ("Why reply?" - birkett))
You are very dumb
Wow, wow! Thank you for the help, oh god man! SHIT! You are being a GREAT help. Because you are the smartest individual on the planet? And it was seriously uncalled for, just because I have another opinion then you...
Do you need to upgrade? I use a Nvidia 9600GT and it runs everything on max.
All of those cards are a downgrade from a 9800 GT. A 250 GTS is a rebranded 9800 GTX+ so if you get one of those cards, expect a pretty big drop in performance.
I dunno if I'm talking shit now but, what if I bought one more Nvidia 9800GT?
I think personally you should save your money and get a better card later on down the road. Not many games have full SLI support for 2 cards.
I think personally you should save your money and get a better card later on down the road. Not many games have full SLI support for 2 cards.
SLI support :silent: what is that. Sorry for me being an uneducated ass.
SLI is when you try to use 2 or more cards together.
SLI is when you try to use 2 or more cards together.
So, if I combine those two cards, not all games will run better?
Yes.
Also when you SLI you are pretty much depending on drivers.
Forget PhysX and get one of them ATi Radeon HD 5xxx series cards. [editline]08:07PM[/editline] And "danish money" is called Danish Kroner or DKK.

Why? Where have you seen it used? Why do you worship it? I think you are an unfortunate victim of marketing hype
I would get a 5770 or a 5850, depending on your budget (if its big get a 470) and then add a 8400gs or something for the physx
Do you need to upgrade? [editline]07:15PM[/editline]
I know, I'm from denmark... But, I like physX, maybe I sound like a huge dumbass. But I still like it very very much.
Trust me, there won't be that much of a difference without physX. Go with a 5770 or 5850, or if you can afford it a 5870. But if you really truly want physX, go with a GTX 470, but I highly recommend a 5xxx series for price:performance. GTX 470s are good, don't get me wrong, but it's just that I don't find them worth what they're asking for them. [editline]07:16PM[/editline]
So, if I combine those two cards, not all games will run better?
Not all games will harness the power of both of your GPUs. Most only use one of the two.
I use a Nvidia 9600GT and it runs everything on max.
:bang: Why dont you get another one and make a 19200GT
I know, I'm from denmark... But, I like physX, maybe I sound like a huge dumbass. But I still like it very very much.
barely any games use phsyx, you should base your choice of a graphics card around physics
4xx series is NICE cus of tesselation and over all performance levels
derlicious makes some pretty naff comments, I have to say.
