• Games not running as smooth as they used to

So I was just gaming on my laptop as usually, playing Garrysmod, Counter Strike Source and The Binding of Isaac, and out of nowhere the usually capacity of what my computer runs dramatically lowered. The game will run smooth at first but start to have issues later on. For instance in Garrysmod, the number of things I can spawn has dramatically lowered out of nowhere. And even more oddly, just playing a game as simple such as the Binding of Isaac has animations lagging and such. I was able to run this stuff normally and out of nowhere its like I'm playing on a dinosaur. I haven't installed anything major that could impact these types of things and my computer space has always been low even before I had this issue, so I'm just looking for some solution or atleast advice. My computer specs are: TOSHIBA Satellite A505: intel Core 2 Duo CPU 2.00GHz 4 GB RAM 64 bit ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4500 Series
-Make sure all your drivers are up to date(Toshiba site) -Make sure nothing is taking up all your ram/cpu (press ctr-alt-del and look at the performance screen of your task manager) -Make sure its not overheating, by downloading HW monitor and posting a sreenshot of the results while playing a game here.
Sounds to me like it's probably dusty and overheating.
Get compressed air can dude
Too much heat can slow down processors/damage them, it may be dusty inside or a fan may have failed, also a chance of hardware failing. Here's an old extreme example:

If this issue isn't fixed defrag your machine that also helps... I had to do that recently on my terabyte drive.. IT WAS A FUN TWO DAYS!
try game booster v3.4, maybe it's helpful.
