Thinking of buying the Radeon HD 7950. Right choice?

So I am thinking of purchasing myself a Radeon HD 7950.
I have done lots of searching but I have the tendency to miss the obvious.
This is the card in particular I am considering.

Anything that you guys would suggest that will pack more of a punch (for a similar price).
My maximum budget is £270.
Thanks.
(Apologies, just realised it is in the wrong section. If a mod could move it to PC building I would be grateful)
Currently running...
ASUS 560 ti
i7-2600k CPU @3.40hz (stock)
ASUS P8Z68-V
8GB CMZ RAM
Silent Pro M 700W d Power Supply
That's a pretty hefty card, what will you be using it for?

Gaming...?
Out of the 7950s what is one of the better brands I was thinking of going with gigabyte since my 9800gt has lasted around 5 years overclocked and running really hot.
MSI, Gigabyte, and ASUS if they make one.
HD Radeon is about to release a new series which is 40% better than previous cards
Thats Q1 of next year... That's more than likely around march or april...

That isn't long away, I'm going to wait
And get a dual fan, they are usually more quiet and cooler.

While dual or triple fan cards run quieter, they have the problem of exhausting most of the heat from the card into the case. If you have a case with poor airflow, the added benefit of dual or triple fans can be negated.
To be honest, I'm going to wait for the new series to be released. Other card prices will drop significantly, including the one you've chosen. But it's up to you really..

And according to most of his posts, he seems to be talking about video games quite a bit.
