• Video Card Bending

Now before we get to any juicy details... A) The thing is dusty, I know, I just haven't gotten the air cans to clean it yet. B) The wiring job is sub-par, it was my first build, and I really had a hard time with the awkward audio connectors, and the CPU dedicated power pins. C) The setup is temporary, so the external wires are everywhere, just coming home for spring break. Now you will notice in the images below that the video card is bending, most likely because of the heat, from my best guess. It doesn't weigh nearly as much as its larger brothers (this is the XFX Radeon HD 5770 1GB), and it doesn't have any power cables pulling/pushing down on the thing. I am wondering if there are any things I can do to fix this without having to make a custom brace for it (thank god there are screw holes for a bottom mounted fan if I ever do need to do such a thing). Here are some pictures. Not bending enough to worry about.
I can think of two reasons why it's warped like that: 1) the copper heatsink is heavy and pulling down excessively on the card. 2) The motherboard isn't aligned with the expansion card holes in the case properly. In either case, the card isn't warped enough to start worrying about it. If you are concerned, you could try loosening the screws on the motherboard and moving it around (while off of course.) Or you could put some non-conductive brace on the corner of the card to prop it up (cable tie, stick, etc.)
