Never heard of this developer or their games.
its almost as if VR has a much smaller userbase and thus its an awful idea to have your primary money maker be a single VR game
I think until economy of scale kicks in and VR becomes cheaper and more widespread, there's no way VR-centric games are going to be very profitable if at all. In the meantime devs are probably better off making games with an optional VR component but which still can be played through traditional means. But then it would necessarily take less advantage of the tech which in turn would be less of an incentive for PC gamers to equip themselves. It's in a bit of a pickle, it seems subventions and the backing of tech giants is necessary to get the ball rolling.

The question is more about which types of games are profitable, how to find a way to make the game you want to make profitable, etc.
