Aside from a few releases EA has actually been pretty good lately with the free Origin games etc
I'm glad to know they want to do this right and not end up with another Battlefield 4 type situation
This is actually really great to hear from EA. I was almost sure the idea of delay was out of the question for them.
I don't think the marketing for this game really matters all that much. Anyone interested in Star Wars and Battlefront are going to get this game regardless of whether it comes before the movie or six months after. In fact, I'd argue that it'd be appreciated more after the release of the movie since we're getting Episode 7 content.
I'll be getting this the moment it comes out. If they need a few more months to make it perfect, fine by me.
Sounds like they learned from battlefield 4 and Sim City 5
Read as: Star Wars Battlefront will be delayed.
Hm, did Arkham Knight's situation and their past problems with Simcity and BF4 do this?
I'd understand that they'd want to hop on the latest video game comercial failure by giving a statement that it wouldn't happen to star wars bf, and earn points while also giving the fans a sigh of release.

They better, or else the game is going to end up like Arkham Knight PC launch. It's better to delay the launch to make the game stable to play than to launch a buggy mess at release.
Well, I read that the gameplay wasn't exactly to great at E3. Especially the handling of the spacecrafts, I hope they will adjust that in the future.
Excellent, 'cause the flying in that game needs to get its shit sorted out.
It's EA, Battlefront confirmed delayed basically

Battlefield 4 and Simcity 5 were EA games too you know
Wasn't the former rushed to release around the same time as CoD:Ghosts, anyways? I'm glad EA is willing to push Battlefront past an holiday release if it means it'll be good

No, this only says that EA will listen to DICE if they say they need more time.
i appreciate the fact that they won't ship out a piece of poop, but if they had any advanced impression that they wouldn't meet the deadline, then why wouldn't they delay it?

In this case, they would miss the holiday release and lose potential sales.
I hope Ubisoft takes a hint but I doubt it
if Ubisoft changed to a 2 year release schedule for AC I'd maybe get back into it. But it's practically three times a year
EA doing something sensable for once in a while that has an impact on a product they made?!
Stop the presses.
Still doesn't forgive the Despicable Me! Henchmen Phone game.
Really over-all, this bullshit where devs are pushed to make a game as fast as they can in really awful conditions by their publishers, it's hurting the industry for AAA games pretty seriously.
it's horsepiss and has to stop.
To be fair though some devs do need to learn to follow a deadline. Its there for many legitimate reasons and some devs need to scale back crazy plans because there is a date it needs to be done by set by the person that writes their paycheck.

They delayed the fuck out of The Division, the first real release date we got was for sometime in 2014.
That's some cool clone trooper ranking armor style that stormtrooper has.

That is the color scheme of the clone shock troopers

Except I've just found out it's something like £50 to pre-order. Maybe next year EA.
