You can play single-player without any problems.
Great now just need to finish a ton of HW then hopefully I will have some time to play this and more borderlands 2.

Waiting for sale. Between Diablo 3, Titan Quest, Path of Exile, Torchlight 1, Borderlands 2, and Guild Wars 2 I think I have enough "Kill monsters and pick up their shit so you can kill bigger monsters for their shit" games.
This game is exactly how I thought it would be:
Diablo 3, but not shit.
And here I am, still playing Torchlight 1. I'm not implying that it's a bad game though, it is great.

I found Torchlight one quite boring and dreadfully repetive.
Fucking loved the shit out of every moment in Torchlight 2 beta though.

Played 2.4 hours just now, so much fun. Though I gotta balance this with Borderlands 2.
I usually don't like Diable-style action rpgs but I think I could really get into this. Mainly because it seems to be much more open than ones like D3.

if you don't like them in the first place then i'm not sure what the hell modding is going to do for you. it's not like this is the first ARPG with extensive modding capabilities.

I hate Diablo 3 and never liked Diablo 2. Torchlight 1 was meh.
Torchlight 2 is sex.
Torchlight 2 is fast, no bullshit, explodes shit all up in that bitch, has tons of variation, plays so smoothly and the pet system is godlike.
It just cuts to the case and gives you what you want. Exploring is fun, and getting around is painless, dungeons doesn't have super complex layouts where you have to spend 50 years walking back and forth to get everywhere, and if you need to get back somewhere you walk so fast you get there in seconds, not fucking minutes like in other games.
