Hey guys,
its time to get a new PC, my current one is from 2007 so its getting kinda hard to play anything anymore.
This is my build:

Haswell is the right choice because of the new socket, right? CPU got overclocking potential and 8GB ram is enough for now.
I plan to use it for making music, film editing and playing games. Any opinions?

Please post your budget. Your motherboard cannot overclock that CPU. You need a z87 motherboard for that. Motherboards of choice right now are the G45 gaming and Gigabyte z87x-d3h (g45 gaming has better sound, d3h has more USB 3.0 and better UEFI bios). If you need a cheaper solution, I suggest the Z87 version of the motherboard you have picked out right now (z87 G41). You should get two 4 GB sticks instead of 1 8 GB (same price, dual channel for better performance). Make sure its 1.5V or lower and DDR3-1600 is the standard choice nowadays. Go for the 760 over the 660 Ti. It's both cheaper and better. EVGA is the preferred vendor of choice, and non-reference cooling is also preferable (which you already have). You can also wait a bit and go for the 760 Ti for a bit of a boost. And get a much better power supply. I know PCpartpicker is estimating 333W, but that just doesn't seem right. If you wish to SLI in the future, be sure to prepare for such. I would say get at least a 600W power supply. Be sure to pick a reputable supplier, and google a review for it.
Better save some money and get a 770 Its 20% better then 660TI and much more future proof
Thanks for the answers. Budget is in the thread title!
The 770 is about 100€ more expensive than the 660TI and thats definitely too much for me. I think I'll go with the 760 then.
Since I use my USB mixer for sound I could go with the Z87x-d3h, but why exactly is OC'ing only possible on these boards?
I dont plan on using SLI with this PC, just not my type of budget class, so a single PCIe slot would be enough.
Are you sure about the power supply? I didnt know that PCpicker would tell me how much I need but around 400W seems reasonable for just one GPU?

Sorry, I didn't notice that. The 760 is a perfectly fine choice. OCing is only possible on z87 boards because the h87 chipset just doesn't support it. If a single slot is enough, the G41 z87 is an adequate choice for you if it meets your USB needs. I'm not sure about power supplies, but a lot of sites recommend going with double that of a wattage calculator, mainly because PSU's are most efficient at ~60% load. Generally speaking, you don't want to skimp out on the power supply, and you want a good bit of headroom.
380 watts can work but not if you plan to overclock or add a few hdd's or something.
Try to get 450 watt.
And yes you need a z87 mobo to oc, and if you want to use a mixer I would really reccomend the MSI z87 G43 for its sound quality. (ALC 1150 soundcard)
Provided your mixer doesnt have one.

Get something similar to that.

Look's like a really decent build. For that price!
