Not a fan of brown.
Not a fan of brown.
Uh... incase you haven't heard, the brown is gone. Besides, you can theme it to your liking.
Looks sweet ^.^
I do believe I'm seeing brown in that screenshot up top. Radiance looks ok, though. But... the positioning of the min/max/close buttons... it's different from previous Ubuntu versions, Windows and Mac OS X...
Can't say I disliked the human theme (I think that was its name?). This is very nice though.
Uh... incase you haven't heard, the brown is gone. Besides, you can theme it to your liking.
I haven't heard. I know.
Looks nice. Also, isn't 10.04 the last Ubuntu version with Gnome 2 as standard? I've heard they're moving to Gnome 3.
Gnome 3 looks promising. :h:
Gnome 3 looks promising. :h:
Very, I can't wait. Also, didn't 10.04 get rid of Synaptic?
I'm liking the iPod Touch support, though currently I'm on Crunchbang.
Isn't the default background color on the terminal purple? :barf:
Isn't the default background color on the terminal purple? :barf:
Not sure, but I usually change it to green on black anyways.
Are the window controls on the left by default now? Is there any way to change it back to controls on the right?
Are the window controls on the left by default now? Is there any way to change it back to controls on the right?
No they aren't. For some reason some pictures circulating had it like that. Maybe it was just to troll people. But are there any changes that aren't just visual?
No they aren't. For some reason some pictures circulating had it like that. Maybe it was just to troll people. But are there any changes that aren't just visual?
The control buttons are on the left due to the new Ambiance and Radiance themes they added to Ubuntu.
...which is stupid. I tried it out for a while and I kept flying on the right.
...which is stupid. I tried it out for a while and I kept flying on the right.
Me too. I'm going to release a modified version of each theme so people can enjoy them without the left-side confusion.
Not sure, but I usually change it to green on black anyways.
This was on the Ubuntu website: :barf:
Everyone needs to relax... it's just a theme. It's ugly, but it can be changed.
Not a fan of brown.

Everyone needs to relax... it's just a theme. It's ugly, but it can be changed.
All I care about is the amazingly stupid window control positions being changed lest I :suicide:
All I care about is the amazingly stupid window control positions being changed lest I :suicide:
Well if they get too much negative feedback from the beta, they may fix it before final release. (Here's hoping)
Bahahahah, in the header of the PCLinuxOS website:
PCLinuxOS Our window buttons are right
Pretty nice, good to see that they improved the boot time. Though I agree with everyone they need to change the window controls back, I'll never get used to them on the left. Even when I was hovering my mouse over them I started to go to the right :v: [editline]10:44AM[/editline] Nice script someone wrote to easily change them back to normal: http://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2010/03/easy-gui-window-button-switcher-for.html [editline]11:07AM[/editline] Hmm, this is the first time Ubuntu hasn't played well with the VBox guest additions.
Am I the only one who didn't get buttons on the left? I installed via wubi, and it looked like normal Ubuntu....and I AM running 9.10 http://img687.imageshack.us/img687/5395/snapshot1vwv.png EDIT:Trying out KDE,thats why I have KDE.....
Because in Ubuntu 9.10 the buttons are in the right by default.
I think I'm sticking with 9.10.
the buttons are on the left because shuttleworth wants to do some stupid shit with the space on the right
I tried 10.04 alpha months ago. It's was pretty unusable at the time. Though I'm sure it's improved by now.
