Linus did a couple benchmarks and the 8 core Ryzen for $500 out performed the $1100 Intel CPU by about 9%, and the Intel rig had double the RAM

We still have to wait for real third-party benchmarks.
gg i bought a 6700k in december

We should wait for third-party benchmarks not because it could be in a controlled setup, but because outside verification is important. No survey or research of any kind is worth a damn without verification, and the same goes for benchmarks.

It sounded like AMD already released the CPUs to reviewers/third-parties to benchmark, but Linus was just on a conference. I just wanted to make it clear. Preview copies are not out yet.
But do you really think that AMD, with their biggest announcement for cpus in 10 years, would show benchmarks that are so outside of the normal of the cpus people get when they buy them? That would be suicide for their brand and their company as a whole.

You are overthinking it :v:
