I want it to be able to play TF2, L4D2, BC2, borderlands and other games with good settings at a resolution 1600 by 1200 (getting a 1920 by 1200 monitor later on). I'll also need at least a 500 GB HDD and built in wireless. Is it possible with my budget? I have no need for an OS. I will be dual booting 7 and fedora. I live in the US.
do you need OS?

"I will be dual booting 7 and fedora."
bump?
I'll try this. Also I don't know which are good wireless cards so I'll just leave a couple bucks for that.

Some money leftover for wireless I think.
That looks great
Swap the HD5850 for an HD4890, lower the PSU to a Corsair 500Watt. You spend a little more for a HUGE performance increase.

Yeah, my bad. I would heavily recommend against going with outdated tech on a new system. An HD5850 will get you at least 45% better performance than an HD4890.
