If there is anything I admire Apple for it's unification across all it's interface. It makes a UI junkie like me feel all warm.
Knighthood well earned, in my opinion. Apple's designs in the last 10 or so years have moved the world into a new direction - [i]some people[/i] may like to argue the wrong direction, but definitely defining of our era.
Too bad other companies lack such people. There also should be less lawyers in that better world I'm currently thinking of.

so what about the Galaxy S2? It's just a rectangle with a hardware button or four software buttons for Sprint users, volume rocker and power button, a 4.27 inch display, a black bezel and a textured back panel.
the iPod was and still is ages ahead in looks compared to other MP3 players
Macs are simple, gray, slates.
They're all minimalistic, and IMO they look pretty damn nice. You'd almost have to be lying to your self if you don't think the simplicity of Apple devices is in the least bit attractive.

I despise Apple and what it stands for but their products aren't magically devoid of innards.

I've dropped my iPod countless times onto granite and my laminated floor, and I only have minor scratches on it.
Also if you don't like them why have you memorized the exact specifications of it's design.
