No fucking way is ORC worse than Umbrella Corps. Ive played neither but at least ORC has substance to it.
Oh boy, I can't wait to read this list and get fucking pissed. I'll be right back. [editline]a[/editline] Hnng most of this list is wrong I'm fucking pissed [editline]20th January 2017[/editline] [QUOTE=AaronM202;51700434]No fucking way is ORC worse than Umbrella Corps. The latter is just a fucking shooter that had joystick emulation for mouse controls on release and I don't know if they've fixed it because I'm not buying a multiplayer shooter I'm sure is dead. UC should've just been an extra mode in a game like ORC or something
I really do disagree with the worst titles in the series. I feel like UC deserves a reserved spot at the bottom of the list just for how shitty it is. I mean ORC and RE6 were pretty bad....but the least I can say is they felt like complete experiences....not necessarily good ones, but you know what I mean. As for the best, well, I think I can agree. I do love REmake but Resident Evil 4 is the game that got me into the franchise as a whole. I bought it entirely on a whim (partly cause I saw some videos making rounds on youtube at the time) and was not disappointed. Nearly 12 years later I've bought two new copies of the game for PS3 and PS4 and I'm STILL playing it. I do wanna play Revelations 2 though, the gameplay looks pretty solid.
Umbrella Chronicles is easily the worst. I also don't think they should lump RE1 and REmake together, since remake adds and changes stuff. They also forgot Code Veronica.

The two Outbreak games are easily the best in the series for me.
As the one person who actually kinda liked umbrella corps as a stupid online shooter(I played it on PS4 so I didn't have the whole joystick emulation mouse issue) there is no way in hell it can be considered better than ORC.

I liked revations...
Oh boy how they fucked up. First off, in no particular order, the Top 3 are 2, 3 and Code Veronica X (I say X because it takes nothing away and in fact adds content) The first game, the original will always hold a dear place in many fans hearts as having the WORST dialog and delivery of quite nearly any game. (Jill sandwich and "WAIT, don't open that door!") The REmake absolutely does it's source credit and very easily makes it either a return to nostalgia or a startling new surprise for anyone who hasn't played it. (WTF hasn't?) The Outbreak games are VERY sorely left out of almost every single "Top XX games" in Resident Evil. Outbreak and File: 2 bring all kinds of content and replayability to the series in the sense almost anything can happen when you and some friends are playing together, and that some of the stuff in the game was not in the same place it was last time you played left at me with a sense of impending dread about whether I was going to be able to defend myself or not. File: 2 did this even better by adding only a few bits and bobs to what you were able to do, like walk and aim at the same time for instance while adding new places to try and escape from were the best overall part. No one still seems to even acknowledge the existence of Dead Aim or Survivor, the very FIRST 2 Resi games that delt either in part or whole, First Person Shooting. While both were best played with the Guncon, a regular controller also worked, however in my opinion took away from the over reason for that style in the game. RE4 is NOT the end all be all resident evil game regardless of what you may think, with it's incessant "MASH THIS BUTTON 80K TIMES OR YOU DIE!" moments being regarded as the absolute worse addition to any resident evil game it added more reason for you to lose your cool and smash your 17th controller, rather then causing any real fear, dread or panic. It does however, have one of the greatest story lines among the games, even if every 5 seconds you hear "LEON, HELP!" Being the first in the Over-the-shoulder Resident Evil games, it does take home the best sense of it not being too much or too little, but right there at the middle ground for the change over. Plus it's nice to have head shots literally when ever you want. 5 Did mostly expand on 4 but did so almost sloppy, basically peppering the landscape with MORE parasites that still add nearly no challenge to survival, only shear numbers and some simple weapons. The added benefit (to some) of having a friend play was a major godsend as the AI was kinda fickle and would either hug your back or be somewhere else entirely, leaving you to the void and lots of angry African ganados. 6 tried to add back to survival horror without taking away to much from it's new action horror direction but failed in the sense that it added TOO MUCH, becoming bloated with so much to see it ended up leaving alot to be wanted and none to spare. As far as I am concerned Leon's campaign in 6 was the only saving grace to the game, besides Ada's side story which for a short time, kept things interesting. WE DON'T TALK ABOUT ORC. Like a horrid father screaming "I HAVE NO SON". It's also non cannon and not really Capcom, just some off-shoot mutant. Never played Gaiden, cant say if it's good or not. Revelations and Revelations 2 are a fair-ish throwback to survival horror, 2 far more then the first. Enjoyable for sure, but not what I'd lay claim as memorable. Barry cursing is a treat and hammy at it's resident evil roots finest. /rant
RE 2 is the best Resident Evil game
[QUOTE=AaronM202;51700434]No fucking way is ORC worse than Umbrella Corps. It wasn't a very good game, but it wasn't horrible. It was just...forgettable i guess. It had many moments in which it was fun for me but the environments and atmosphere felt lack luster.
