• Portal 2 Crashes for no reason

Recently I went to future shop today and bought portal2..Got home an hour later, installed it, and played single player for about an hour and decided to go on multiplayer. So I join a friend, it loads.. But then when it says "Waiting for partner.." it sits there for about 30 seconds to 1 minute before crashing to desktop with a "portal2.exe has stopped responding". I verified it, but it keeps downloading files over and over and over again. I have DirectX 10 Installed, latest drivers( didn't even work with the old ones ), latest C++ Runtime, and my specs are as follows: AMD Phenom II X4 Quad ATI HD 5670 Ultimate PCI-E 1 GigaByte graphics card 4 GigaBytes of memory Windows7 x64 Bit Here's what it told me:
Problem signature: Problem Event Name: BEX Application Name: portal2.exe Application Version: 0.0.0.0 Application Timestamp: 4d4c804d Fault Module Name: StackHash_da74 Fault Module Version: 0.0.0.0 Fault Module Timestamp: 00000000 Exception Offset: 00000000 Exception Code: c0000005 Exception Data: 00000008 OS Version: 6.1.7600.2.0.0.256.1 Locale ID: 1033 Additional Information 1: da74 Additional Information 2: da74d6603dab29b05e52360f74a997b3 Additional Information 3: 90ce Additional Information 4: 90ce4f1edfd4c4827b2f73d702f33f57
Re-validate the install. Go to your games library in steam. Right click on portal 2 then click properties. A box should pop-up. Go to the tab that says local files and hit "verify integrity of game cache".

Re-downloads it, and yet it still fails.
Have you deleted your game files and re-download?
Have you deleted your game files and re-download?
The problem has been found, it was Comodo's sandbox preventing the game from running correctly.
