I was using my desktop when suddenly my screens both went blank and my tower started making a buzzing noiss. Its a single, solid buzz. I have an MSI B150 gaming motherboard, a 960, 2 4gb ram sticks, and an i5 6500. I boot off a samsung SSD. Everything lights up when I power it up, but nothing shows up on screen. I don't have any replacement parts on hand at the moment to test out, but any help would be appreciated.
Isolate the problem. Sounds like your power supply died but graphics cards are the next biggest removable power draw. Remove that and try again. If it still happens, it's either the motherboard or the power supply.
I unplugged my GPU and everything works fine plugged into my motherboard. Is it for sure my GPU or is it possible my PSU lost some wattage or something like that?

If you get a hold of a replacement suitable PSU and you're still not getting a signal to your screen despite having power than the GPU could be the culprit.
when your GPU is connected and your PC refuses to boot, do you get any POST beeps, or just silence? If it's the latter, it most likely is the PSU. A lot of motherboards let out an angry beep if there's no GPU detected on startup, but in the absence of any you might as well rule it out for now. Sometimes PSUs just shit the bed, even the high quality / expensive ones -- fortunately though, there's no firework shows involved when the good ones quit.
This problem has happened to me before... Turns out it was the GPU and I had to get a replacement

Or beep. I don't know what sound it should be making. I RMA'd my GPU for now, waiting for the replacement. If the problem persists then I guess I'm getting a new PSU.
Didn't you say the computer ran fine without the GPU?
Yeah, off the integrated graphics its fine. No strange noises at all. Thanks for the help guys.
