• Upgrading laptop screen from CCFL to LED backlit screen.

A week or so ago my laptop screen broke due to me being a bit careless, so a few days later I purchased a replacement. The replacement is an LED backlit screen, which I thought my laptop was before I opened it. Turns out I should've checked before since my laptop came with a CCFL backlit screen. So now I have the replacement screen here and can't do anything with it. Is there a specific cable I could use so I can use the new screen without returning it? I'm sure there is, but my knowledge of the subject is pretty lacking as I've never been in this situation before.
Not quite, most of the screen cables are specific to the type of display. The CCFL screen use FL inverters which use a different display cable. Best thing to do is return the screen and get a compatible model.

It's unfortunate that this is my only option seeing how the cheapest screen I could find is $150, half of what the laptop's price was.
What model is the laptop? Do you have it open with back of the screen readable?

Reason I thought there was a special cable conversion I could use is because I've seen a lot of things like this: around.
Laptop screens generally have proprietary connectors for display information that vary between manufacturers and even between models. Those goofy adapters you linked to are for modifying existing screens.
