Wait you can cross-platform the expansions now? SHIT. I gave away Steam PMC because I had the Retail OA
Game came out in 2009, they're developing the sequel Still putting out regular updates I fucking love Bohemia.
2.5 gigs. One hell of an engine update.
YES! I hope now when vehicles are driving or planes are flying it won't be as jumpy anymore! Woohoo!
* New: Helipads can be placed on a carrier deck and AI helicopter can land on them.
Holy fucking patch
Now if only I could make heads or tails of any of the controls or join a server with a decent amount of people on it
Redownloding this game, and playing after I finish Stalker COP
"no more warping" So can OA actually run using a wireless connection? ARMA II's the only game I've ever found that refused to run via wi-fi.
"no more warping" So can OA actually run using a wireless connection? ARMA II's the only game I've ever found that refused to run via wi-fi.
my desktop runs on wifi it works fine
Works with wifi for me too.
2.5 gigs. One hell of an engine update.
That's just due to steam's way of updating ArmA it seems. The patch is nowhere near that big. To be honest the content of this patch should have been in OA at the release, I have been testing it for months and the AI enhancements (and lack of warping!) have really made my COOP sessions so much more enjoyable.
ArmA 3 will be grand
ArmA 3 will be grand
Yay for an i5 being minimum requirements.
Really who doesn't have a quadcore? There's no reason not to at this point, if you're on AMD there are AM2 Phenom II quadcores out there so you won't need to buy a new motherboard if you don't have one already and the Intel i5s and i7s are pretty much $200-300.
-snip late-
Yay for an i5 being minimum requirements.
I pretty much upgraded to be ready for ArmA 3. Bring it on.
I pretty much upgraded to be ready for ArmA 3. Bring it on.
Why is your northbridge 60C, get a better HSF for it.
Uhh I think this patch made the AI even worse at flying. [editline]23rd December 2011[/editline] I just saw two F-35s spin upside down and faceplant into the ground in a row.
Why is your northbridge 60C, get a better HSF for it.
It seems to be solid at 60C regardless of what I'm doing, is it a concern? Doesn't seem too high.
It seems to be solid at 60C regardless of what I'm doing, is it a concern? Doesn't seem too high.
Probably a stuck sensor. Go take it to Hardware and Software, they'll help.
I pretty much upgraded to be ready for ArmA 3. Bring it on.
Should've bought a 2600k or a 2500k.
Should've bought a 2600k or a 2500k.
No, I don't have any intentions of overclocking so wasn't going to pay more.
Does this mean there could be an Arma 2 steam sale?
Does this mean there could be an Arma 2 steam sale?
Well Combined Ops is only $15, on sale for 50% off. I bought it yesterday, but it still might go on sale.
This update is shit hot -fixes most of the major visual bugs with the game, tightens up the AI brilliantly, and makes MP run hella better in almost every way Really good experience to see how much of the stuff in the patch was in direct response to community-driven issue tracking Also likely the last major patch for the game
