• Canadian Going to America... And Probably Shopping

So, I live in British Columbia, and I'm going on vacation to San Francisco for a week. I want to be on the lookout for products that suit me but I cannot buy in Canada. I enjoy computer shit, videogame shit, movie shit, literature shit, and other general nerdy types of shit. I also have a girlfriend, so maybe I should also get her something nice that's not available where we live. Any suggestions from yanks and cross-border shoppers? I'm already planning on bringing back some Mello Yellow though, that shit's delicious.
Since you brought up mellow yellow, I Googled what we have that you Canadians do not. They're foods. Keep in mind I'm Googling these, so I'm not sure if they're accurate. Cherry coke, maybe you'd like to try that. I like it. Apparently, you guys don't have pixie sticks? You NEED to get Chick-fil-a if you've never had it. Flaming hot cheetos. Krispy Kreme, best donuts ever. LEMONHEADS, try them. Gobstoppers, they're okay. Maybe I'll add more stuff to this list.
Jack Daniels?
Taco bell
We have Cherry coke, pixie sticks, flaming hot cheetos, gobstoppers, Jack Daniels and taco bell in Canada. Just putting that out there.
Go to Pier 39 (yeah touristy, but fun), as well as the Godiva Chocolate Factory. Buy TONS of chocolate and gorge. Once you're done with that, buy more to amaze and bribe your friends!
Pier 39 looks pretty cool, I'll think about that. Anybody have any suggestions that aren't food-related? Not because food suggestions are bad, but because I already know I'm going to eat anything and everything in the city.

If he's going to San Fransisco, he needs to see Ghirardelli Square and go to the Ghirardelli Chocolate Company.
Bu...bu..but I said that.
Sorry, I meant in Canada.
Sorry, I meant in Canada.
Oh, okay. Well thanks, I didn't know that.
Dude, kripsy creme is overrated as fuck. But Lemonheads and friends kick so much ass.
why dont you just try a freshly glazed donut yum
Yeah, I don't really think Krispy Kreme is overrated. They definitely deserve their fame, the donuts are amazing.
Yeah, I don't really think Krispy Kreme is overrated. They definitely deserve their fame, the donuts are amazing.
also compared to the evil donkin' donuts, they are way better and are crafted by loving hands
Bring a knit hat and a moose fur jacket and whatever the fuck you hosers wear because it's cold as shit in san fran, especially in the summer.
Just go to their Target. I'm from BC too and I was amazed the first time I went to Target. They friggin sell drinks in huge jugs, and has way more flavours of chips and all sorts of junk food. Also, almost everything in the states is cheaper than in BC, especially considering that they have less tax also.

To me this is practically a tropical vacation. Cold as shit? I'm looking at the weather report, and it's way better than what we're getting at the moment. Anyway yeah, I'll probably check out a Target, though we do have Costco and Walmart, which sound pretty similar.
Visit a warehouse club. You will be amazed by American capitalism.
I understand but a lot of tourists that come here think CALIFORNIA=WARM so just trying to prevent that.
What's the average temperature down there?
What's the average temperature down there?
In the summer San fran is usually like 55 degrees (farenheit), and foggy. So a hell of a lot colder than say LA or San Diego.

I feel like you're BOTH bullshitting. In both SF and BC it's been between 10 and 25 degrees Celsius during the daytime for several weeks.
Hey, going today, so I'd welcome any tips on the double. Also, do you guys have any idea how much MY I can bring across the border in a plane, and in what sort of containers? I can't find a straight answer anywhere on the net. EDIT: Fuck. Looks like the point is moot; they're phasing out Mello in many parts of the USA too, and have been for a couple years; it's near impossible to find now in most states. This is the worst day of my life.

It's exactly the same as Mountain Dew.
You should try Chipotle's burritos
