• Building a Desktop With $700

Okay well this current pc is decent okay ,but not enough to satisfy my needs ,so I've set aside about $700 to build a new fancy pc. I'm absolutely horrible when it comes to choosing parts ,so I was hoping a few of you could help. As for assembling I've already gotten that down.I'm not trying to build something that is a power house type thing. I'm pretty flexible when it comes to price too. I know that this isn't enough information ,but if you need anything else then I'll just add it up here. Also I'll probably be playing games running on Source, MW2, BF2, GTA4. I live in Virgina(US) since the rules say you need to add where you live. Few things I'd like in it

Decent sized hard drive around 500GB
Would be nice if you could recommend a gaming keyboard/mouse
HDMI? (Dunno if desktops have those since i plan to plug it in to my 42" tv)
You can probably reuse your HDD and optical drive, if not here's a full build: Biostar Mobo http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813138182 WD 640GB Hdd: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136218 500w OCZ Power supply/ AMD Phenom II quad core 955: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.392559 ATi 5770: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150447 Coolermaster Case http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119161 G.Skill 2x2GB memory http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231180 Some sony DVD drive http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827118030 Total is ~$683 before mail in rebates.
Instead get the Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB. Same price as that WD above after you use the promo code.

I'll use what the other two posters recommend. I might get a different Cd drive though. If anybody else has any parts that would be great too.

Also it comes with DiRT 2
At the rate gaming is going now how long do you think this would last me until I had to upgrade?
About 2 years, maximum 4.
The next thing youd upgrade would be the graphics card, and thats pretty much whenever you want. The rest of the computer will last a while.

Wish it was around when I built my computer. :saddowns:
