I want to start astronomy, I've been doing physics in school and we're on the topic of space, we're coming to an end but I find planets and stars and moons fascinating, and all of the other stuff in space, nebulae, blue stars and other things, so I want to buy a telescope, on the topic of physics I'm assuming you're reading this thread because you have some sort of knowledge so I'm guessing you may know some TV shows I might be able to watch about space in general? Brian Cox's are really good, but they're hard to find. Anyway, is this telescope good enough to start off with? Thanks dudes
This is of interest to me. I'd like to own a telescope at some point. I know light polution can be a big problem if you live within a big city though.
Yeah I know, its pretty dark in my estate, so idk if that'd make it any better. It sucks how there isn't many science threads on FP :saddowns:

Maybe not as much as someone closer, but it will still affect you. I hate living so close to cincinnati sometimes

I get it, light which is going up to the sky then bouncing around everywhere causing distortion in images etc?
