If I were to by a computer that could run TF2 at full spec how much would I be expecting to pay?
£400 - £500 I'd say. TF2 isn't exactly demanding.

You won't be needing to spend much cash on a PC that can handle TF2 well. Although tailoring a PC for TF2 sounds a little short sighted, don't you think you should prepare for more graphically demanding games due for release?

anyway, get a Phenom II X2 555, GIGABYTE GA-M68MT-D3, 2 GB DDR3 RAM, an 8800GTS, and a 500W OCZ PSU. whatever case, hdd, and odd you want, and a copy of Windows XP.
you could throw 7 in there instead but I suggest 4 gigs instead of 2 if you do that.

I was just trying to get the cheapest build that can max TF2. If he got 64 bit and 4 gigs he would need an extra $30 or so, which is worth it. But yeah just posting cheapest build.
