I use it to keep in touch with family and friends.

people who want to share random bullshit
trust me, i keep seeing random stuff that vietnamese post and super romantic quotes
I quite like the new logo, always thought women as being a bit shorter so the aspect fits quite well when the taller guy is behind.

Oh only like literally a billion people
People are never happy with anything, fucking hell...
Oh only like literally a billion people
There is a huge difference between the numbers facebook shows and actual users. People who use whatsapp but don't use facebook are still counted as facebook users. Same goes for their other platforms. You are not a user of facebook the application but the company.
A lot of people are starting to realise what a piece of shit site it is and dropping it like a brick.
Intrest in facebook has been declining for quite some time now

Jesus what a bullshit , it's just silly. I mean c'mon, it's a logo. Who cares its just drawn characters. Put e'm all next to each other and the problem is solved?
[sp] TRIGGERED [/sp]
Its like someone from tumblr wrote that reason why.
Up next: icon gets revamped again as another designer gets triggered over, what to them seems to be, the suggestion that the two male icons are pushing/forcing the female icon in to an unfavorable situation.
I do like the new hair silhouettes, but geeze, when I clicked on this article, I was thinking "Maybe just maybe this once it won't be filled with bullshit and actually be an informative article." Instead it's about empowering women through a small icon on a website.

Everyone here uses Facebook. I don't even know of an alternative to it.
Why couldn't it have just been two stick figures right next to each other or something, completely void of gender
I'd rather they fixed the android app, which just updated, and now doesnt works.
why not just half a male and female silhouette next to each other?

Why is the male on the left? This obviously implies superiority in our society! Most of these cases are more about attention than actually caring for equality. We can only hope (and in ourselves, work) for people who change the world in more meaningful manner.

People will see symbolism in it anyways.
Best solution is to use genderless icons.
less people are googling Facebook so what, the massive majority of their user base direct link to it or just use the phone app

Oh, geez. It's the pedestrian signal bullshit all over again.
For those who don't know: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/europe/germany/11238456/The-pedestrian-crossings-helping-to-reduce-sexism-in-Germany.html
This... is creating more of a problem than existed before.
Actually, no it's not, who fucking cares?
talk about white girl problems
I wish people weren't so hyper sensitive

Facebook is like, the least discriminate thing out there
at least I've not heard of them being offensive ever. Except privacy issues.
The issue of gender equality for traffic signals has been around for years
You know people's priorities are completely fucked up when traffic signals not displaying gender equality (what the fuck haha) is a problem
I just now had the opportunity to read the thing, since it only displays a white window for me where the news should be.
I stopped right at the "the woman is in the shadow of the man" thing.
I think there might be a problem with you if you suddenly see sexism and gender inequality in something like that.
Starting to think its like saying "you are now breathing manually", like "there is sexism in this X" and then you take a close look at it and BAM SEXISM.

To be honest, if all my acquaintances had instagram, that would be really nice and much better.
To me, facebook is a place where people post shocking news and bullshit that you have to share to watch and all of that annoying crap, and passive aggressive girls posting stuff saying they aren't cows despite having a gigantic track record of cheating, and all of that bullshit.
On instagram, people post photos, comment on said photos, and thats about it. Maybe now and then you got those crappy ass pictures that only have text to express some bullshit the person that posted it is going through, but other than that, its much better than facebook.
who still uses facebook?
I got it a week ago...
Everyone here uses Facebook. I don't even know of an alternative to it.
I've had no trouble whatsoever using the myriad of methods we had before facebook to keep in touch.
Humans should be genetically modified into pure, featureless, perfect cubes so that we never have to worry about lack of representation ever again.
it is also her mantra created to encourage female empowerment.
Read: It's also her mantra putting females over males.
Because in a society as equal as we have today, that's what it means. She could've just changed the women in the back or just given an explation like "I worked hard on this design", but nope, had to be this bullshit.
I've had no trouble whatsoever using the myriad of methods we had before facebook to keep in touch.
That's great. But Facebook has proven to be a superior method for many, many people.
