Well up untill now women were technologically impossible after all
the fuck
It's a statement so inaccurate and reported from such a shit source that it's not worth even coming up with a basic list counterexamples. My controversy-fatigue is just too high for this.
Before people flock in here not reading the sources
Having initially claimed the presser came from Ubisoft, @Toadsanime eventually conceded that it may have come from a third-party PR Agency.
How does a PR agency fuck up in not knowing that there's is a female lead driven game within the same series.

It's the PR agency for the actress. It's not really that surprising they don't know about games.
Ok, why has this made into news?
The Wheel of Time had a female protagonist
bet none of you expected that example

PCGamesn. Thats why.
I'm not even going to pretend ubisoft is to blame on this one. This has 3rd party PR written all over it.
Afterall, you'd expect a games publisher to know a fact like this.
The PR agency also claimed that Syndicate received critical acclaim, so I looked and it seems the big review sites loved it. Strange, since the universal fans and smaller (trustworthy) critics seem to either be bored of the formula, think it's gone in the wrong direction or downright dislike the game.

I was bored with the formula by the 3rd game. Frankly i wouldn't blame anybody with similar claims.
It is obvious they focus on the female actor and not the game or the character itself. Also PCgamesN intentionally made a title that you can easily misinterpret. Great journalism right there.
It's not even the first Ubisoft game with a female protagonist btw.

I thought that even a layman would know about Tomb Raider or something.
Funny how they'll readily fact check this but anything else from nonsense sources doesn't get a second glance.

That's the lady version of parkour, by and for ladies. Duh.

This screenshot has seemingly been everywhere in 24hours. I've seen it everywhere. Seems good that it's found to be false.
