I have a 200 dollar budget. Yeah, not that much. Operating System MS Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit CPU Intel Pentium E2200 @ 2.20GHz 30 °C Conroe 65nm Technology RAM 4.00 GB Single-Channel DDR2 @ 399MHz (6-5-5-17) Motherboard FOXCONN Napa (Socket 775) 40 °C Graphics HP w2216 (1680x1050@59Hz) 128MB GeForce 7100 / nForce 630i (HP) Hard Drives 352GB Seagate ST3360320AS ATA Device (SATA) 34 °C Optical Drives TSSTcorp CDDVDW TS-H653Z ATA Device Audio High Definition Audio Device Any ideas?
At this point it would be like polishing a turd, but you definitely need a GPU first. You could go for a sub $200 GPU but i bet that e2200 would bottleneck it. I would say save your money til you have about $350 to 450 and you can get a basic i3-2100/mobo/ram/gpu setup But if you're hell bent on upgrading now i looked up your motherboard and it doesn't support much for cpu upgrades Or if you'd rather get a GPU alone the 6870 is really nice for the price http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150521
He also (probably) needs a new PSU
Allrighty, thanks for the help guys. I guess i'll save my money.
I would just buy a cheap GPU, maybe a 5650 or something like that, as it is cheap and will help your performance. It also means you won't probably need a new PSU, as it does not take a lot of power.
