They're the developers, not the publishers. They have nothing to lose from people stealing the game. In fact, it wouldn't surprise me if they were just happy more people might get to buy the collector's edition of their creation.
Now SEGA, on the other hand, is the one who takes the blow here.

At this pace they're probably going have to start transporting games to stores in armored trucks.
