I'm looking to find a Laptop for as cheap as possible.
Laptop will only be used for:
Playing Garry's Mod a little. (mostly testing code)
Small amount of mapping.
Browsing & more browsing.

Should be able to run Garry's Mod at lower resolutions fine.
An APU notebook is going to be a far wiser choice for the low end.
As long as you get a laptop that's not using intel graphics you should be fine. Garry's mod doesn't require much if you don't mind playing at low settings
i got my XPS 15 for around 450 USD. just look for used laptops on ebay, you can find great deals.
