Ok so I got this new case no too long ago and it has a CPU monitor on the front along with fan controls. Fan controls work fine but the actual monitor doesn't work. Do these things need batteries and if so what type and how do i put them in?
(How) is it connected to the motherboard?

The case?
Yes, the case.
There should be a front panel connector that goes to your motherboard.
It has be a cable coming from the lcd. You have to connect it to your motherboard.

Download CPU-Z, run it, and post pictures of it. It will tell us all about your hardware.
Yeah, you should be able to plug your front panel connector right into your motherboard.
