If you party up before joining a server the game will try to keep everyone on the same team. There is even an auto-squad join feature that is turned on automatically when you join a friends server.

The "problem", such that it is, is that nearly every server has autobalance meaning getting all of your friends on one team and getting them to stay there is far more challenging.

So technically we already have Squad Join, but it's practically impossible for it to work due to different servers having different balance plugins. It is far easier to get together than BF3 though.

Finally they added this feature that really should have existed from the start - now my mates and I can play together on PS3...
