New in Version 191.07
Adds support for OpenGL 3.2 for GeForce 8, 9, 100, and 200-series GPUs and ION GPUs.
Accelerates performance in several gaming applications. The following are examples of improvements measured with version 191.07 drivers vs. version 190.62 drivers (results will vary depending on your GPU, system configuration, and game settings):
Up to 12% performance increase in ARMA 2
Up to 8% performance increase in Batman: Arkham Asylum with GPU PhysX enabled
Up to 50% performance increase in Call of Juarez: Blood in Bound with SLI enabled
Up to 14% performance increase in Fallout 3 (indoor scenes) with antialiasing enabled
Up to 10% performance increase in Far Cry 2 (DX9 version) with antialiasing enabled
Up to 34% performance increase in Prototype with antialiasing enabled
Adds SLI support for Aion, Darkfall, Dawn of Magic 2: Time of Shadows, Dreamkiller, Fuel, Majesty 2: The Fantasy Kingdom Sim, Need for Speed: Shift and more.
Includes numerous bug fixes, including the following key fix (additional bug fixes can be found in the release notes on the documentation tab): For graphics cards supporting multiple clock states, 3D clocks correctly return to 2D clocks after exiting a 3D application.
Users without US English operating systems can select their language and download the International driver here.
New in Release 190/191 Drivers
Includes WHQL support for DirectCompute with Windows 7 and GeForce 8-series or higher graphics cards.
Installs PhysX System Software version 9.09.0814.
Supports NVIDIA 3D Vision Discover, a complete, low cost solution to start your immersive stereoscopic 3D experience. NOTE: If you are using NVIDIA 3D Vision active shutter glasses, you must download the separate 3D Vision driver which includes the driver for the 3D Vision IR emitter.
Supports CUDA 2.3 for improved performance in GPU Computing applications. See CUDA Zone for more details.
Supports a new user-controlled power management setting for select GeForce 9-series and later graphics cards (only available on cards that already support more than one power state). This option allows users to set a performance level for each DirectX or OpenGL application.
Existing Support:
Supports single GPU and NVIDIA SLI technology on DirectX 9, DirectX 10, and OpenGL, including 3-way SLI, Quad SLI, and SLI support on SLI-certified Intel X58-based motherboards.
Supports NVIDIA PhysX acceleration on a dedicated GeForce graphics card. Use one card for graphics and dedicate a different card for PhysX processing for game-changing physical effects. Learn more here.
Supports GeForce Plus Power Pack #3. Download these FREE PhysX and CUDA applications now!
Supports GPU overclocking and temperature monitoring by installing NVIDIA System Tools software.
Give me books
Is there much of a difference between 191.03 and 191.07? Who cares, downloading anway :buddy:
uh
Yes, it's included with the drivers, I HAVE to download it but I don't WANT to.

What's the disadvantage?
Higher file size.
Higher file size.
Yes because it takes up oh so much space.

Many people have a download quota.
PhysX isn't that big and it's generally a good idea not not update your drivers every time a new one comes out anyway
How long after these drivers does it take for the laptop versions to be released?
I'm still stuck with 186.31.
My friend's pc 8800GTS got BSOD, my PC with the 9800GTX+ didn't.
God fucking damnit, every time Nvidia rolls out new drivers, they fuck with some fucking settings that don't need to be fucked with, like the color settings, and I can never get my fucking color settings the same as they were before. They're brilliant move this time was to convert gamma from a percentile based setting to a decimal based one. Fucking ingenious.
They also apparently thought it'd be a great idea to change digital vibrance (not a word, wut) around to make each single percent, more effective than it had been on their last set of drivers...
Well, it now looks VERY SIMILAR, even though the settings are far from similar, smooth Nvidia. Fucking pricks...
This actually raped my FPS in most games. Brb, rollin back drivers

I'm on Windows 7 64-bit with an 8800GTS, and no BSODs for me.
when the fuck willl they update the laptops
Windows XP 32-Bit with a 9600GT, no BSODs. Except, lately my fan speed goes to about 20% when the card gets hot from playing games. The only cure I have found is manually forcing the fan to go to 100% :crossarms:

I have never understood why they write this, I've never noticed any speedups in games after updating to a newer driver.
Anyone have benchmarks?

Blargh, the sound of the fan gets so annoying at 100%

I always crank my fan to 100%, to keep temps down. Of course mine is a desktop 8800GTS, whereas notebook's fan at 100% would be a waste of battery life and annoying all the time. :/

I have my pc tower next to me, the regular casefans are loud but I don't mind that, but when I reboot the computer the GPU fan is louder than all three casefans together.
It's got a higher pitch/tone to it aswell

Sounds like a dying fan to me... My fan just spins slightly faster, the default is 80%, so the sound difference is negligible.

the fan naturally spins as fast as possible when the computer boots, before the card's drivers and stuff can be loaded that tells it to not run at max speed (so the gpu isn't frying away while the computer boots)
Hmmm... Call of Duty doesn't seem to work anymore. I get a C++ Buffer Overrun error. But Quake 3 and RTCW both work and share the same engine.
Hmm, wonder if this'll fix my "locks up the system so not even the reset button works" issue I get when the GPU doesn't even get hotter than 73C. :/
