Allright, I'm on a quest for the most original distribution of Linux because I'm tired of the same old stuff. I've already got Fedora, Arch, Gentoo, Knoppix, Symphony, Debian, Mint, and Ubuntu on one drive :v:
try something else. Minix, Haiku, BSD, maybe even ReactOS
I thought ReactOS was mostly reverse-engineered shit, rather than UNIX-based.
I thought ReactOS was mostly reverse-engineered shit, rather than UNIX-based.
it is, I was just listing off less common operating systems. only minix and bsd were unix-likes anyway. I could replace reactos with haiku in your quote and it would still be correct
Hmmm. Can we stick to unix? [editline]10th December 2010[/editline] ReactOS looks too easy. I've already messed around with GhostBSD

Maybe fuck with some old and obscure distributions like TAMU or something. of course you could always fuck about with an LFS installation
Give CrunchBang or NuTyX a try. The former is debian based but the latter is from scratch so it does not use another distro as a base.
You could always go for Linux From Scratch, I guess it could be considered a distro.
Hmmm. I think I'm gonna go with LFS. Looks like enough of a challenge, and obviously very customizable, so yeah.
Did you try Tinycore (http://www.tinycorelinux.com/) ?
