I'm looking for a monitor stand to replace the crappy built in one on my 20" LG W2042S. It has a holes for a 75x75 vesa mount.
I'd like one that tilts, moves vertically and rotates 90 degrees.
I searched around, but i can't seem to find any reasonably priced replacement stands, all i found were ones for dell monitors, like these: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DELL-MONITOR-STAND-17-AND-19-MONITOR-/270875665188?pt=UK_Computing_DesktopComponents_RL&hash=item3f1172a324#ht_500wt_1270
Does anyone know if they can be used on vesa mounts like mine, even if some retrofitting is needed?
Also does anyone have this stand and can tell me if it rotates?
pretty sure those stands clip/snap into the back of the monitor, rather than using vesa mounts
I don't know about regular stands but I know you can get plenty that allow you to mount an arm to the edge of a desk, though I don't know if this meets what you're looking for
I have it. Like reapninja said, it snaps into a hole in the back of Dell monitors. It's got pretty good rotation though (tilt, height adjustment, portrait mode, and pretty good horizontal rotation) so if you somehow find a way to get it to work then buy it.
Could probably be retrofitted to work with standard VESA monitors if you know how to work with metal (welding, cutting, etc.)
If you have a place to put it, http://www.amazon.co.uk/MDM04-Monitor-Mount-Bracket-Swivel/dp/B0036YMAXM/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1328644860&sr=8-3 would be awesome.
The whole desk mounted/pole systems don't appeal to me as i move my monitors from place to place quite often so a plain desktop stand is needed.
