• Do paleontologists actually dig up fossils?

I have a question about paleontology, do paleontologists actually dig up dinosaur fossils and what-not? Or do they spend like 95% of their time behind a desk? Or do they spend most of their time out in the field digging and what not?
You can Google it.
You can Google it.
I'm not sure what results it would yield though.
No, they don't dig and find fossils, they participate in wet T-shirt contests and eat liverwurst out of a dead cow's hernia. Yes of course they dig. They find a site, dig, find stuff, bring it to the lab for examination and dating, go behind a desk and catalog it. One person does not necessarily do these things but to be a paleontologist I believe you have to be able to.

Yes they do.
does op want to be a palaeontologist or what
if you want to dig up stuff become an archaeologist. if you actually have a big interest in prehistoric life then be a palaeontologist, but you'll spend more time behind a desk than an archaeologist.

Cousin is archaeologist, was in Bulgaria and and Israel digging up stuff last year.
Dad's an archaeologist :) spent a lot of time in the field when he was younger, but for the last 20 or so years he's been doing the more investigative side of things - his choice, digging is tough work for very little rewards, you have to really love it.
no, god is a man goddess is a woman
The Christian god(dess) is female.

I can't help but think OP is a troll.
The Christian god(dess) is female.
Negative. God made man in his image. God made women from one of man's ribs. So arguably, if the Christian god had ribs, one of them would be female.
I can't help but think OP is a troll.
This is like the 5th thread he's made this past few days, all but one have been shit.
he/she is
Isn't trolling a bannable offense?
when it's more direct/offensive trolling then it's bannable, but when it's posting (albeit) questionable opinions, for the mean time it can pass.
