Hi,
I own two gpu's, both labeled: Sli compatable
Nvida geforce 6600
and Nvida geforce7700 gs
My computer's specs:
AMD Athlon 64 3400+ Processor (512KB L2 cache, 2.4GHz, 1600MHz FSB)
Chipset: ATI RS480
1gb ram
Os: windows 7 / xp
I was wondering if it's possible to run these two cards in sli
If so are there any jumpers / switches which need to be enabled on my gpu's
Thankyou
You cannot SLI 2 diffrent GPU's. They have to be the same series and number (ex. 9800gt and a 9800gt.)
ok thankyou
Actually you can sli a 8800gt and a 9800gt if you flash the 8800gt to a new version.
This doesnt work for a 6600gt and a 7700 tough.
Oh man there's so much wrong there, there's no way in hell it would ever work.
1. You have two different models, from different series even.
2. I didn't know 7700s even existed.
3. You have an ati chipset, those never supported sli, only crossfire.
4. With that setup, it's not even worth bothering. If you want to get better performance you'll have to invest some money in it, building a whole new computer would be the only reasonable way to upgrade.
