Weird, I only play alone.
Mainly because I don't want to end up against 5 man stacks and get some kind of hivemind shit strategy.
I play alone 90% of the time and still enjoy it, to each their own I guess.

Im gonna give this advice again, just mute the guy. If he is verbally abusing you, i doubt he'll give valuable information anymore. If he griefs during the game just report and move on.

Sometimes you don't even have to mute the guy. Just say "muted", and there's a chance he'll behave.
And if they start griefing, you can use the Disable Help option. When turned on, it will cause some allied spells to have no effect on you, I think OD's Astral and SD's banishment is on the list.

Journalists these days don't check facts or info and PCGN had quite a lot of poor articles which were either misinformed or just dumb.

Facepunch is NOT a hive mind. LoL threads attract DOTA gamers, DOTA threads attract DOTA haters.
I'd recommend Smite if you want to enjoy Dota 2 but just can't, the viewpoint makes it much easier to understand for someone like me (the perspective some literally gave me a headache in Dota 2) and the mechanics are very similar to LoL/ However, the community has a habit of being barely noticeable because people communicate with voice commands (eg VVGG says good game) and text, there's no voice chat. The people I do come across tend to be nice, they'll help you out on improving your play as a hero and make callouts etc, just an issue is sometimes the silent people will snap if you suggest they do x instead of y as the hero they're playing.
