Very good MMO. It has some of the best quests I've ever seen in a game like this, because they treat you like you're someone with a brain instead of just, "go here and kill 10 rats."

The Sabotage missions are really fun as well. The Action missions are the only bog standard ones, but they usually have an interesting twist to them. On the whole, its a fairly small world although the environments are actually quite good looking, with my favorite being Kingsmouth. Combat is a bit clunky at first when you're just getting your skills and learning to use them, but once you start to branch out and getting more skills and learning what works best for you, it actually becomes pretty fun. The stories and many of the characters are the best part however, with a heavy and obvious focus on Lovecraft lore mixed with plenty of good, dark humor. [editline]15th December 2013[/editline] I will say, when I first picked it up not long after launch, I couldn't really get in to it primarily because the combat felt odd and the progression seemed wonky and so I stopped playing. But I decided to give it a second chance many months later and actually enjoyed the hell out of it that time around.
Yeah, I gave it a second chance after dismissing it in beta because the shotgun felt like shit. Turns out that the shotgun is the only weapon that does that

But when I came back I switched the Pistols out for Elementalism and became master wizard. It was so much more fun.
This is US only I think

[editline]15th December 2013[/editline] God damn Funcom, fix your account shit. You can't buy the Massive Edition without making a new account. AKA I have to make a new character, which sucks because I had some good gear on my Pistol/Blood Mage and I had just gotten to the second hub in Kingsmouth.

My favorite game <3
A shame I already have everything except Issue 5. A word of advice: Its tempting to just down the Monster XP potions as soon as possible, but DON'T. Every map has particularly difficult for the region monsters tucked away somewhere that give a lot(7k+, and thats when they are considered an even match for you) of experience. Save them for when you can solo these(it WILL be a while) and you'll benefit much more than getting double experience from early trash mobs.
Last Train to Cairo is my favorite if only because of the fact you can get the Whip from it. I use it regularly in combat (and especially in Transylvania. Gotta honor the Belmont legacy.) Also, the entire last level, while pretty bullshit at times with random massive difficulty spikes, is crazy fun too.
Not sure if I'm being a little dense here, but is this discount US only? I can't for the life of me find the Massive Edition on the UK site.
