Hello, I have saved up $1500 USD and would like to get a gaming PC. The only things I can reuse are my Monitor, Keyboard and maybe my mouse. I live in San Pedro, California USA Games that I want to play: Battlefield Bad Company 2 ,TF2, L4D2, Crysis 2, Fallout New Vegas, Fallout 3,Mirror's Edge, BioSchock 2, Medal of Honor, Blur, Mount & Blade Warband and some some newer games. I have a Turtle Beach DX11 Headset and want to use the 7.1 surround sound on the computer. I need just about everything but if I could get a few suggestions for a good mouse that would be great. I play alot so I need something that will stay cool. I AM GONNA GET A i7 950 for $199.99

left a lot of room, just in case you want a better case, sound card, stronger CPU, more RAM, Blu-ray drive, new monitor, SSD, etc...
Forgot the thermal compound. I suggest the ARCTIC COOLING MX-2 Thermal Compound

For that budget, I think you could get away with a Phenom ii X6 processor and a great graphics card.
i agree with poopsicle, i think i7 would be best for a $1500 build even if it costs more and he said he has a monitor and he probably could upgrade an get and ssd and better moniter later especially if it means getting a better computer [editline]7th December 2010[/editline]
For that budget, I think you could get away with a Phenom ii X6 processor and a great graphics card.
the GTX 480 is amazing
Those are worst at almost everything than a i5 760. Go with Jeahead's build and chuck in a SSD.
better ram better GPU
better ram better GPU
Better than a 580?
better than a 580?
gtx 480 [editline]7th December 2010[/editline] saves money for some other thing like a cool case or another thing
gtx 480 [editline]7th December 2010[/editline] saves money for some other thing like a cool case or another thing
Your making no sense, I said go with Jeahead's build, which has a 580, and you said better GPU, now your saying a 480, which is not better.

And there is no point getting a 480, just get a 580.
Not to mention the RAM he chose is terrible.
God, he is gonna be charged Tax if he orders from Newegg. $100+ just for that. Keep in mind, I'm not saying don't do it, just keep it in mind when ordering.
